Mahogany body, nitrocellulose lacquer, nylon nut, long neck tenon, and amber Butyrate top hat knobs...what more could you ask for? Aerodynamics you say??? Well, Ted McCarty already considered that back in the 1950's, and this reissue can fly into your guitar collection with the ease of an arrow. With unpotted Alnico III custom Humbuckers, this guitar has a very natural and open tone. It has a great weight at 6.8 pounds, and a wonderful fat C-shaped neck which also add to the tone.
As Gibson calls it ... A faithful tribute to the original 1958 Flying V model made of korina, this version is made of mahogany and features a beautiful Walnut finish that adds a layer of class to this iconic ahead-of-its-time design.
