As the millennium was closing out, Fender decided that the Strat Plus line needed to do the same. They canned it and introduced the American Deluxe line as the upgrade to their Standard line. Equipped with its newly designed Vintage Noiseless pickups in the neck and middle positions, and the Fender DH-1 humbucker, they called this the Deluxe Fat Strat! Combining a 2 point bridge with a roller nut and locking tuners means that you too can do all sorts of whammy shenanigans without worrying about tuning again when you're all finished. Speaking of finish - this model is sporting a classic Fender look with a 3 tone sunburst, and also new to this model was the Abalone fret dots and its classy looking Applique logo. From the factory with Schaller strap lock buttons, this guitar is ready to clip into and play as it has been professionally setup in house by our technician.
