Zemaitis Guitars

After 40 years of handcrafting fine guitars, Tony Zemaitis retired due to ill health. Sadly, Tony passed away soon thereafter, but now several years later Tony's wife, Ann, and his son, Tony Jr., both felt it was important that the Zemaitis tradition continue, and so with their support, the new Zemaitis Guitars corporation, in Japan has been able to make the rebirth of Zemaitis guitars a reality.   Their master craftsmen and luthiers have carefully studied Tony's original drawings, specifications and guitars in order to faithfully reproduce Zemaitis instruments of the same superior quality as those crafted by the master himself.  They have even enlisted the services of Danny O'Brien, the master engraver of the original Zemaitis guitars. Danny's tremendous skills and artistry help contribute authenticity and craftsmanship to this endeavour, and now, after two years of painstaking research and organization, they are pleased to announce the rebirth of Zemaitis guitars.
