*Jim Hopkins writes “Hello, I just saw/read the description of the "No Name Guitar"....It looks like my vintage (pre Gibson take over) Epiphone Century model. Mine was manufactured in February, 1954. This particular intrument may have been assembled during the time frame of the Gibson buy-out. As such, was it going to be an Epi, or a Gibson? In all likely hood, the guitar was overlooked, or an employee may have purchased it for thier own use. Also, the family was running on a pretty thin margin, and may not have had Epiphone labled parts available for production. The only thing that is different from mine is the truss rod cover, mine is white.”
