The Archtop Guitars

These guitars were conceived to commemorate Bozo’s 40th Anniversary as a master luthier.  The first series of 3 archtops were completed in 1995 and 1996 and were of the smaller 16 ˝” size models.  A full size 18” Chicagoan Model was completed for the famed “Blue Guitars” of the Scott Chinery Collection.  These magnificent instruments were subsequently exhibited at the Smithsonian Museum and continue to be displayed and played.

Bozo also makes a beautiful archtop.  These are highly ornate, with beautiful inlays work, with relief edge carving in the outer rims in the European style.

Here we find Bozo fitting the fingerboard to one of the archtop models.  This All Abalone model features herringbone and abalone inlays around the edges with diamond position markers.  A design reserved for the more elaborately inlaid models.
